Final Essay

Essay one:

During the French indian war when George Wasington was 21 years old, he was in command of a small regiment of soldies. While returning to his post, his soldiers opend fire on a small french group, then the indians travleing with them killed a french diplomat. This lead to the french attacking Washington, which washington sufferers a major defeat. Before the American Revolution, Washington was on the continental congress, Where he was selected to lead the Continental armies as commander in cheif. In the time between he becomes a much better leader. During the early revolution, he suffers defeat in every battle he enters, retreating. This shows he has become a better leader because it is better for them to retreat and fight another day, rather than be captured and possibly killed. General washingtion and his army are put through tough times during their winter at valley forge, but he soon gets a releif at the battle of trenton. American troops defeat the hessins, and gain their first victory of the revolution. Because of this battle and washingtons leadership, the army stays past their release date, and many more join.

Essay two:

What if the american troops had lost the batte at trenton? The battle of trenton was the turning point of the american revolution, because it was a very important victory for two reasons. The first reason that this battle was important is because this was America's first major victory, which it helped in persuadeing the army to stay past their release date and keep on fighting for freedom. If they hadent won a battle by the time soldiers could leave, then the army would have been gone, and with it our fight for indipendance. The second reason that this battle was important is because it was a great moral victory for the colonies. This increased the army size greatly because they used this as propoganda, which made people believe that their cause was worth fighting for, and that it could be obtainable. In conclusion the battle of trenton was very important to the fight for independace. If this battle had been lost or did'nt take place, then i believe that america would still be a part of great britan (and have crazy british accents). This battle lead to the establishment of the decleration of indipendance, and now 125 years later, america has grown to be a superpower of the world.

Valley Forge Letter

January 17, 1777

Dear,

It’s going on two years since I have seen you. How’s life at home? It’s been a hard winter here at Valley Forge, nothing like back home in Massachusetts. We have nice shelters that we share with other guys, the people in ours make the evenings interesting. Today it stopped snowing after the 13 days straight, I’m glad that the winter is almost over and we will be able to see each other again. There was a guy that died today from disease, it was terrible to witness. The hospital at yellow springs was finished two weeks ago, ten miles from our camp. We have been given the vaccine for smallpox, so we do not have to worry of it. The food here is good, they call it a fire cake, but I still miss your cookin.

General Washington is doing his best to keep the men confident, but we have been running from lost battles for some time, not achieving a major military victory. While I believe that the general is a good man, he has his times where he as a poor leader. When the men went to the hospital, he showed great leadership by going there and talking to each and every patient, many of the men admired this about him. It will soon be spring, and I'm sure he will lead us to victory.

The time for reenlistment into the army is but a few months away, and I plan on staying. I can’t leave because this is our war, and I desire to live in a free and safe country for you and our son. I know that I should be home with you two, but I can’t run from this when our country needs me. I promise that I will be home soon, to be with you and Billy. I love you, see you soon.

Love,
William Turner

Boston Massacure Essay

The night of the boston massacure was the fireing into a crowd by british soldiers, killing citizins who were defenceless. Though not many people were killed, this is still a massacure because it was a group of ordinary citizins that were attacked, not armed soldiers. I believe that the british soldiers are responsible for what happoned because they should be more disciplined, and not fire their weapons into crowds that have women and children amungst them. If they were being attacked, they should have chosen a different course of action to disarm their attackers, not kill innocent people. In my opinion, the british soldiers that were involved should have been punished, which would to be hanging. These soldiers should recieve this punishment because they are not like the citizins that were killed, they are trained soldiers who can respond to a threat with deadly force.

The founding of English colonies in modern Massachusetts combined a strange mix of idealism and violence. Miles Standish contributed important protection to the early colonies by using violence. Benjamin Church provided vital leadership to protect the colonies during King Philip's War. Despite all of this violence, the colonies were also founded on religious idealism. It is important to understand the full history of these areas because this is what Americans generally consider to be our nation's beginning.

Miles Standish contributed important protection to the early colonies by using violence. The first way he uses violence is by making Thomas Morten leave America because he associates with the Indians. Secondly he assaults the wigwams, looking for corbitant because he thinks they are planning an attack. Finally he kills two Indians with there own knife because of the same reasons. Through these actions, miles Standish contributes to establishing the colonies by using violence.

Benjamin Church provided vital leadership to protect the colonies during King Philip's War. For example, Ben Church first uses violence when he defends the river bank against three hundred Indians without suffering a single loss, escaping on canoes. Secondly when King Phillip is killed by Ben Church, they put his head on a pike. Furthermore within a matter of only two months, he captures seven hundred Indians, and holds them captive. Through these actions, Benjamin Church contributes to establishing the colonies by using violence.

Despite all of the violence, the colonies were also founded on religious idealism. First the Pilgrims came to the new world because they wanted their religious freedom. Secondly the Pilgrims came to America to find land, that they could own for themselves. Lastly the Pilgrims wanted all of them to be educated, in order to read the bible. This proves that the colonies were based on idealism.

The colonies were established based on violence and idealism. Through the actions of miles Standish, he contributed to the founding of the colonies by using violence. Through the actions of Benjamin church, he used leadership and violence to help establish the colonies. Finally the Pilgrims helped establish the colonies using idealism when they left Britten. This all plays a major role in the history of the united states, and without these actions, this country would not be the same today.

Final Essay

When the German congress building was burned down, Germany found itself in a terrorist attack, and it ended out benefiting the party on the bottom in which was the Nazis. Adolf Hitler was then giving the position that made him a "dictator" in the times of crisis. They were also greatly supported by the lower middle class.

Hitler and the Nazis came to power when in the 1930's there was mass unemployment and Hitler blamed this crisis on the Jewish people and the people did not do anything about it because the 'pure' Germans were not affected by this great tragedy.
